About the Company
Tim Alsop, Fishmerchant of Looe has been supplying fresh fish to restaurants in
Cornwall, Berkshire, the Cotswolds and the South of England for many years.
The company prides itself on the quality of not only the fish, but also the
service it offers. Tim Alsop himself has been involved in all aspects of the
fishing industry for the past twenty years (including actually working as a
fisherman), and has had connections with it for most of his life.
Customers are not sold fish by sales people trying to make a weekly target –
they discuss their requirements

Tim, who understands
fish at least
as well as they do.
Quality and freshness are not just a sales pitch – Tim is probably surrounded by the fish as you speak, checking that it meets his high standards or preparing it to your specifications. He appreciates that the preparation of your order is as important as the quality and he and our small team are highly skilled in all aspects of fishmongery. Our principal fishmonger, Malcolm Moore, has more than forty years experience, and has been involved in all aspects of the fish trade for his whole life.
If you would like to see where your fish comes from, chefs are welcome to visit and see us in action (for which accommodation can be arranged). We can also organise fishing trips on our own boat, if you would like to get really up close!!
